A monumental 100cm x 70cm statement of defiance and balance. Divided Prism is more than a painting; it is a visual manifesto on surviving a system designed to keep us at the bottom.
Utilizing all-purpose paste to create heavy texture, I have carved triangles and 'eye' shapes into the canvas. These triangles are inspired by the ancient constellations and the pyramid structures of our world—reminding us not to let those who rule dictate how we live. While the world pulls us toward lack, the 'Divided Prism' filters that energy, helping us find the Yin-Yang balance between our light and dark sides. This is art for the resilient; a reminder to stay centered when the world feels chaotic.
The pyramid stands to keep us small,
A system built to watch us fall.
But I carve my prisms in the paste,
No energy here shall go to waste.
Like stars aligned in the velvet night,
I balance the dark to find the light.
Divided, I stand—refusing the floor,
